CHAPTER 21

I awoke the next morning, it was Friday, finally the weekend had arrived. It had been the most hectic and eventful week I think I had ever had.

Firstly my mother, Roy and Crystal were all dead, thanks to me, Riley had admitted how much he liked me and I was living with him, Susie and June’s bodies being released.

It was a lot to happen in such a short space of time. Riley and I seemed so sudden but when I was with him it didn’t feel like that, it didn’t feel sudden, I had known him since I had been friends with Susie, give or take just over a month but it felt like it was so much longer.

So since Saturday so much had gone on, the police didn’t keep hold of either body for long, Susie was seen to straight away and her findings came back within 48 hours and June had committed suicide so her report didn’t take long either.

So yeah, it was a lot in such a short space of time but when I look back, I remember how Riley used to look at me when I visited and on Monday how he looked like he wanted to kiss me even though his wife was right there.

Of course at that point and the times I had visited before I never knew their story or the fact he would sleep with other women, like I said, they looked like any normal married and loving couple. I guess looks really can be deceiving.

I woke Riley up by kissing him on the lips; he stirred and then opened his eyes kissing me back.

“Mmm now that’s a nice way to get woken up in the morning,” he smiled.

“Well I got to make sure you set the day of smiling haven’t I”

“I have been smiling since the day I met you.”

“Yeah I always wondered about that, I mean when I used to come here how nice and attentive you always were and Monday you….”

“Almost kissed you?” he finished my sentence.

“Yeah, I mean every time I came here with Susie and in the night when I slept over and would get a glass of water you would always be there behind me, you would always hug me and kiss me on the head, I felt then I wished you did more to me.”

He raised his eyebrow “you did huh? Well I wanted you, but you are young and I thought that you were too young for me, I have never wanted anyone below the age of thirty I would say but I can’t help myself with you.”

I smiled “I guess you can’t help who you fall for….”

He looked and me surprised “fall for? You’re in love with me?”

I quickly tried to retract the statement “ummm I just mean someone you like you can’t help who you like or want and age is just a number you know I didn’t, I mean….”

He smiled and stroked my face “shhh it’s ok, I think I’m
